Best Event Decor/Design

We are so honoured to have won the award for Best Event Decor/Design at this year’s 10th Annual ILEA Vancouver Awards Gala! The Fairytale Fantasy awards evening at Stanley Park Pavilion was an incredible night of celebrating the success and talent in the Vancouver event industry. We truly love the opportunity to be able to enjoy an evening with our fellow vendors. It is humbling to be recognized amongst so many amazing people.

When we received notification of the extended deadline in May, we knew we had to take the opportunity to show off our glam design for the MGM Resorts International 2024 Vancouver Gala. The gala hosted at the Westin Bayshore last November had a general “glam” theme which our signature planner, Lucy Ng, took and ran with. Using only the choice of multi-coloured sequined tablecloths for inspiration, she used international trends and her understanding of our client’s brand image to put together a stage worthy of Las Vegas right here in Vancouver

Designing a gala inspired by the Grammy Awards demands bold vision, technical insight, and flawless execution. For “Celebrating with MGM Resorts International”, a VIP gala hosted at a premier hotel, Key Events was commissioned to deliver a seamless, immersive experience under the Modern Lux theme. With only a 9-hour installation window, our team crafted a multi-faceted event featuring a ballroom stage, a foyer red carpet welcome wall, a live music cocktail lounge, and a sophisticated dinner setting—unified by a cohesive visual language.

Winning this award is not only a demonstration of the hard work and dedication of our incredible team and fellow vendors, but a testament to the amazing 15 year relationship we have developed with the team at MGM Resorts International. We are so grateful to them for continuing to return to Vancouver and trusting us to create an amazing night for them and their guests.
